Meet Our Group X Fitness Class Instructors


Lesley Chao

I received my 200-hour yoga teacher certification from Dose Yoga in Raleigh in March 2025. I am passionate about intentional sequencing, offering modifications for all levels of students, and making yoga accessible for all bodies and levels. I enjoy practicing yoga to cultivate a deeper connection between my mind and body. I hope you will join me on the mat sometime. I am currently pursuing a dual Master of Science in Public Health and Master of Physician Assistant Practice at Campbell University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences. I hold a B.A. in Biology and a B.A. in Music from UNC Chapel Hill, as well as a Master’s in Physiology from NC State University.

Christian Gilmore

Hello, my name is Christian Gilmore. I am a junior at CU as a Trust & Wealth Management major. I will be teaching Barre this year! I have my certification in the American Council of Exercise (ACE) fitness certification. I am from Garner, North Carolina and am the oldest of five, making me very family oriented! I grew up playing many sports, but stuck to volleyball, softball, and running track. Music has been a huge part of my life, and I like to consider it as my alter ego. I also love to travel and go on adventures! Overall, I’m super excited to embark on this new journey with Campus Rec! I deeply care for other people’s health and wellbeing, so I know this opportunity will be a blessing to my life!

Emily Macon

Hi, my name is Emily, I am a second year DPT student! I am AFAA certified indoor cycling instructor, and I teach Cycle45.

Kaylin Bitz

My name is Kaylin Bitz! I am a Biology major here at Campbell, as well as a member of the Dance Team. I am certified to teach Zumba and Pilates. I am so excited to teach Pilates and Zumba this year.

Emma Lapan

Hi! I’m Emma Lapan, a senior majoring in Criminal Justice. Fitness has been a lifelong passion, from playing sports growing up to helping others reach their wellness goals. I’ve been an ACE Certified Personal Trainer for 4 years and am excited to teach Core & More for the second year! I’m also a Fitness Nutrition Specialist and TRX/Queenax Instructor. My goal is to create a challenging yet supportive space where everyone can push themselves and feel stronger after every class.
About Core & More:
Get ready to fire up your core! This class targets all four major core muscle groups while incorporating full-body movements for balance and strength. We’ll combine mat work, both with and without weights with dynamic training using Queenax and TRX equipment. Expect a high-energy workout that leaves your core burning in the best way.

Hadassah Morton

Hi, my name is Hadassah! I am a freshman at Campbell, majoring in Business. I am currently working on becoming certified to teach HIIT classes. I love working out and I am excited to start leading classes!

Martha Harmon

I am a Hatha Yoga Instructor and received my certification from the North Carolina School of Yoga in Raleigh in 2007. I started practicing yoga for stress relief but found it to be a tremendous blessing physically, mentally, and spiritually. I enjoy sharing the health and spiritual benefits of yoga with my students and helping them on a journey to wellness and peace of mind. I graduated from Campbell University with a BA in Mass Communication and a minor in Computer Information Systems. I work full-time in marketing. I also lead the hand bell choir and sing in the choir at my church. I enjoy music, reading, and spending time with my family, friends, and dog.

Fun Fact: Martha also enjoys swimming as a mermaid!

Nicole Winget

Hello! My name is Nicole and I am an Instructor of Homeland Security and Criminal Justice, as well as an Academic Counselor for the Online department. Additionally, I am an Officer in the United States Navy. I fell into endurance fitness to deal with stress and a military deployment made me realize I need to balance the pressures I put on my mind and body – thus I found Yoga! I enjoy events like long distance Rucking, Obstacle Course Races, and Ultra Endurance Events and yoga helps me recover physically as well as keep my mind sharp and relaxed. I am YTT200 certified and I love to share the joy and well-being of a yoga practice with as many people as I can and I hope to see you in a class soon.

Rachel Teague

My name is Rachel Teague. I have the ACSM Exercise Physiologist certification as well HeartSaver CPR/AED. I am a student in the Health Science Department at Campbell to become a Physical Therapist. I will be teaching the HIIT training classes on Mondays 7-8pm and Thursdays 6-7pm.

Savanah Ramsey

Hi! My name is Savanah and I am the Coordinator for Fitness and Wellness at Campbell University. Along with teaching, I am also getting my Master’s in Adult Education from East Carolina University. I was a competitive dancer for about 15 years and when first attending Campbell for undergrad I was on the Dance Team for three years where I served as Captain for one year. I found my passion for the gym when I first started with Campus Recreation as a Sophomore and I haven’t looked back since; I am super excited to be able to teach and support others in their fitness journey!

Graduate Assistant for Fitness

Grace, originally from northern Wisconsin, graduated from Calvin University (in Grand Rapids, MI) in 2024 with a B.S. in Kinesiology – Exercise Science. During her time in undergrad, she was part of the Varsity Track and Field Team as a thrower, as well as involved in Outdoor Recreation programming. Grace is currently part of a dual degree master’s program in Public Health and Physician Assistant Studies at Campbell.
