Special Consideration

Special consideration to participate in the graduation ceremony is extended to undergraduate candidates with grade point averages of 2.000 or higher in the major and overall GPAs while being within six (6) semester hours of completing all course and hour requirements. To qualify for this special consideration, candidates must complete a graduation application first and then file a ‘Request to Participate in Commencement’ form in addition to the Graduation Application. Before the Registrar’s Office can execute this form, it must be signed by the candidate, the candidate’s adviser and the appropriate dean. The form also includes information about the candidate’s plan to complete the missing components.

Main Campus Undergraduate students please complete the form, with all required signatures and email it to graduation@campbell.edu. Adult and Online Education students please complete this form with your respective graduation auditor.  Graduate and First Professional students seeking special consideration should contact their program directors. Please Note: This option is only applicable to the May & December Graduation Ceremonies.

Request to Participate in Commencement: 6 Hour Rule Form

If you were previously approved to participate under the “6-Hour Rule” or any version thereof, you will need to reapply to be considered for graduation. You do not officially graduate until you reapply.

Application Received List

This is the final Application Received list. It is accurate as of 05.09.23. This list also contains the date and time of each student’s ceremony.

For participation in the ceremony as listed on the application received list: Dual Degree candidates may participate in one ceremony. The ceremony of participation is determined by the highest degree to be awarded, if degrees are on different levels (example: masters vs bachelor levels), OR the primary degree at the time the dual degree was officially declared, if on the same level (example: two bachelors or two masters). Degrees are also recognized in the program.

If you need to update your participation preference please email Melissa Mclamb as soon as possible.
