Account and Password Management


Campbell Network Account

  • Used by Faculty, Staff and Students to access many applications such as Self Service, Blackboard, CampusCard details, etc.
  • Used by Staff and Faculty to access email, Office365, Egnyte, network shares and other resources. Also used by faculty and staff to logon to university provided computers.

Notice of Password Expiration

All Staff and Faculty network account holders will receive email notices letting you know that your network password is about to expire. The password expiration notices will point you to the Microsoft Account Portal to change your password. See the notes below.

Account Management Site  (Microsoft Account Portal)

You Campbell network account can now be managed in our new Microsoft Account Portal. The portal will allow you to change your password if you know it or reset it in case you have forgotten it or it has expired.

Changing Your Password

To change your password simply logon to the  Microsoft Account Portal with your current network username and password. Choose CHANGE PASSWORD on the Password block  and follow the instructions. Most services will recognize the change immediately. Some may take up to 5 minutes.

Resetting Your Password

To reset your password simply go to the  Microsoft Account Portal and choose the “Can’t Access Your Account?” link on the sign in page. Follow the instructions there there to recover your account and reset your password.

Faculty and staff members, please be sure to enter your username there followed by @campbell.edu and not your email address (unless its the same).

How you have setup Self-Service Password Recovery in the past will determine what is needed to reset the password. Options may include secret questions, SMS, phone call, or use of an authenticator app.


Student Email Account

Used by Students to access student email and other GSuite applications (Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.)

Changing Your Password

Login to GMail and open the Google Account under the avatar at the top right. Console. The student can change it from there. Under “Security,” select Signing in to Google. Choose Password. You might need to sign in again. Enter your new password, then select Change Password.

Resetting Your Password

Student may reset the password using the “Forgot Password” prompt on the Google login screen.


Student Microsoft Account

Microsoft and Campbell University provide Microsoft 365 free to current students. This includes the ability to download and use the Office Suite of apps. Current students may simply sign in to https://www.office.com with their student email address and Campbell network password to access their Microsoft 365 account.
