Account and Password Management


Campbell Network Account

  • Used by Faculty, Staff and Students to access many applications such as Self Service, Blackboard, CampusCard details, etc.
  • Used by Staff and Faculty to access email, Office365, Egnyte, network shares and other resources. Also used by faculty and staff to logon to university provided computers.

Receiving Notice of Password Expiration

Beginning with the 2019 Fall Semester, all network account holders will receive email notices letting you know that your network password is about to expire. The password expiration notices will point you to a new Account Management Site to change your password. See the notes below.

New Account Management Site  (OneLogin)

You Campbell network account can now be managed in our new Account Management Site. The portal will allow you to change your password if you know it or reset it in case you have forgotten it or it has expired. 

We know we often tell you to never enter your account credentials in an unknown site so we want to be clear that we are now using OneLogin for account management and self-service and may be using it as a login portal for applications in the future. You will see links to https://campbell.onelogin.com. These are legitimate sites in use by IT Services to manage your account and provide other services to you. In order for us to enable you to use the Account Management Site to help you when your password is about to expire or when you have forgotten your password, the following will occur first time you access the portal…

  1. You will be asked to answer 5 security questions. These questions will be used later if you forget or need to reset your password.
  2. You will be able to add your 10 digit mobile number to your profile so that in the future you can reset your password using a text message.
  3. And, of course, once in your Account Profile, you will be able to change your password whenever needed.

Changing Your Password

To change your password simply logon to the Account Management Site with your current network username and password. On the profile screen, select “Change Password” and follow the instructions. Your network password will be changed instantly. Most services will recognize the change immediately. Some services, like Office365, may take up to five minutes to recognize the new password. 

Resetting Your Password

To reset your password simply go to the Account Management Site and click on the “FORGOT PASSWORD” link on the logon prompt. You will have up to three options for resetting your password, depending on what you have configured.

  1. By email: OneLogin will send you a link to your email account that will allow you to create a new password. For students, this link will go to their student email account. For staff, the link will go to their staff email account which may or not be accessible if the original password is not known. Sometimes, you can continue login to Office365 with an expired account so you may want to check https://outlook.office.com for this password reset email. 
  2. By Security Questions: if you have visited the Account Management Site at least once before you will have created these security question answers and this will be an option for you. Simply answer the three questions presented and you will be given an opportunity to create a new password. 
  3. By SMS: If you have added a 10 digit mobile phone to your profile at the Account Management Site, you will be able to choose the SMS option. This option will text a code to your phone which you can use to create a new password.

Student Email Account

Used by Students to access student email and other gsuite applications (Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.)

Changing Your Password

Login to GMail and open the Google Account under the avatar at the top right. Console. The student can change it from there. Under “Security,” select Signing in to Google. Choose Password. You might need to sign in again. Enter your new password, then select Change Password.

Resetting Your Password

If a Recovery Phone Number has been configured on the account, the student can reset the password using the “Forgot Password” prompt on the Google login screen. If not, the student will need to call the IT Services Helpdesk to have the password reset. Instructions for setting up a Recovery Phone Number.


Student Microsoft Account

Used by students to access Office 365 and the Microsoft office web and desktop applications like Word, Excel, etc. These accounts are setup by the student using their student email address at the Microsoft Office 365 Education Site. The login name is the student email address and the password is unique to this service.

Changing Your Password

The Microsoft account password can be changed by logging on to Office 365  and choosing the settings gear at the top right hand of the page.

Resetting Your Password

If the student has configured the account for Self-Service Password reset (configure password reset), the student can reset their own password using a phone number or alternate email address. If not, the student will need to call the IT Services Helpdesk to have the password reset.
