Today’s investiture of Dr. William M. Downs will be only the fifth time in Campbell’s 139-year history that the school has had an opportunity to celebrate a new president. The ceremony, scheduled for 2 p.m. in the Pope Convocation Center, will mark the formal installation of the University’s sixth president, who officially took office on July 1, 2025.

Wiggins Memorial Library’s 16th annual Academic Symposium featured nearly 200 undergraduate and graduate students mentored by about 75 Campbell professors over the two-day event, which coincided this year with Inauguration Week for Campbell President Dr. William M. Downs, who delivered the keynote address later in the day prior to the Symposium’s awards ceremony.
