CUFS 100 Peer Mentors

The Peer Mentor plays an important role in the CUFS 100 (Freshman Seminar) course by serving as a role model and mentor to freshmen students. Peer Mentors are expected to attend all class sessions and assist the instructor by offering their unique perspective of life as a Campbell student. Peer Mentors have a variety of responsibilities including keeping students updated about campus events and activities, organizing out of class activities (i.e. community service events), and assisting the instructor with course planning and classroom management.

Emma Lapan

Hometown: Richlands, NC
Favorite place on campus: The Student Union, particularly the CAB Office.
Advice for new students: One piece of advice I’d give to a new student at Campbell is: get involved early and intentionally. Join at least one club, organization, or campus activity that excites you and one that challenges you. Campbell is a tight-knit community, so the more you participate, the faster you’ll build connections with peers, professors, and staff. Those relationships will open doors, make campus feel like home, and often lead to opportunities you wouldn’t have found otherwise.
