See Something. Say Something.®

Report concerns. Request support.
Care rooted in community.

Campbell seeks to foster a strong community and depends on everyone to identify and report behaviors of concern so that the university can respond with resources and support. See Something. Say Something.® is a centralized place to report concerns and incidents.

If you see something, take a few minutes and use one of the forms here to say something and report it. If you are unsure which form to use, choose the one you think is most appropriate and it will be routed to the appropriate support team. We take all reports of distress and misconduct seriously and one of our teams will respond quickly.

These forms are not continuously monitored. If this is an emergency, call 1911 (from a campus phone) or 911 (from off campus or cell phone) for immediate assistance.

BAT works to identify, de-escalate, and decrease threatening behavior from impacting students, faculty, staff, and the greater university community in negative ways. BAT utilizes a multi-disciplinary, proactive, and coordinated approach to the identification, assessment, intervention, and management of situations that may pose a threat to the safety and well-being of the university community.

The Behavioral Assessment Team’s process is to:

  • Assess and use reasonable discretion as to whether students, employees, or non-affiliates have engaged in threatening or concerning behavior or exhibited potentially threatening behavior that may pose a safety concern for the community
  • Recommend appropriate interventions to mitigate any risk of harm to the university community or the individual including but not limited to referrals with campus and community resources for support and care and recommendations to the administration based on the severity of the situation
  • Monitor and review ongoing interventions as necessary

BAT is not a disciplinary group and will refer to appropriate disciplinary committees as applicable.

Anyone can report behavior they believe to be concerning or threatening. BAT reviews behaviors of all community members at Campbell University.

The CARES Team is a cross-campus team that provides support for students who are experiencing crisis, have exhibited concerning behavior, or need additional support to persist and graduate. This team does not address behavior that indicates a direct threat of harm to the university community, cases of which are referred to the Behavioral Assessment Team (BAT). CARES works collaboratively with BAT and the groups may share referrals.

The CARES team meets regularly throughout the academic year and is designed to promote efficient sharing of information and resources with the goal of providing the best practical support for students in need. Members often take an active role with students, providing support based on their areas of expertise. Smaller teams will be formed to tailor support to specific student needs when appropriate. Referrals to CARES may come through the Student Care Report form, CU Succeed flags, or other campus offices and committees.
