Friday, February 9 | Program Outline

2:00 pm – 7:00 pm Family Weekend Check-In and Welcome Booth Oscar N. Harris Student Union Grand Foyer Pick up your itinerary, event passes and Family Weekend gift when you arrive.  Meet our Family Council members as they volunteer to host this family weekend tradition. Register for Family Weekend to take advantage of all events included in the price of registration.
2:00 pm – 7:00 pm Hit a Bucket of Balls – Practice Facility Keith Hills Golf & Learning Academy Pay on site – $10 for a bucket of 60 balls – no reservation necessary
Start the weekend off with a little golf practice at the Practice Facility at Keith Hills. Bring your clubs or borrow one at the Golf Shop. Enjoy great food at the Dogleg Café located in the clubhouse if you need a late lunch or late day snack!
2:00 pm Lightning Talks Wiggins Memorial Library Wiggins Memorial Library is excited to showcase faculty research through the Lightning Talks series. Hosted in the Periodicals Reading Room, the Faculty Lightning Talks provide an informal, fast-paced introduction to research conducted by Campbell University faculty through brief presentations.
5:00 pm – 6:00 pm *Veteran Students and Adult & On-line Student Bonfire Saylor Park We are excited to be offering our 2nd Annual Family Weekend event for all our Military Affiliated students! This includes our AOE Extended Campus students as well as all of our students using Veteran’s benefits! Campbell is S’more fun with our AOE and Veteran students and their families! We hope you all can join us for S’mores, a Hot Cocoa Bar and Bonfire to kick off Family Weekend. It won’t be fun without Y-O-U and your family. We also plan to have some fun activities for our Camel’s of all ages to enjoy. 
6:00 pm Family Bonfire Saylor Park  Join other Campbell families and get warm by the fire. There will be s’more making items so bundle up and come on outside for some family fun. Included with registration.
7:00 pm Women’s Basketball vs. UNCW Gore Arena Tickets are available on gocamels.com for $5 with discount code: PARENT

Campbell Athletics | Ticketing – Campbell vs. UNC Wilmington (WBB) (universitytickets.com) Or $10 at the gate. Students are free at the gate with ID.

7:00 pm Wrestling vs. Citadel Carter Gym Tickets are free at the gate for parents and students.

Join us as we create no stress artwork to capture the spirit of Campbell University. We will be using various mediums including collage, paints and stencils. Follow along as our resident artists lead you in recreating one of the samples or feel free to run wild with the supplies and your creativity to make a piece you love. Pre-registration is required.

Golf Tee Times

Keith Hills Golf & Learning Academy

Golf at Keith Hills Golf and Learning Academy is something you do not want to miss!  Campbell University offers 27 holes of golf on championship golf courses. Home to PGA Golf Managemant Program and Fighting Camel Men’s and Women’s Golf Teams. Call the Golf Shop @ 910-893-1371 to book tee times. Let them know you are with CU Family Weekend.

Rates to play will be as follows: 9 holes – $30 per person / 18 holes $49 per person. Payment will be accepted on site at the golf course. Pre-Registration required.

Class Ring Ceremony

Hobson PAC in D.Rich Hall

Graduating students and their families will participate in the cherished tradition of receiving their class ring in a meaningful ceremony in our beautiful performing arts center. Rings are ordered in the fall and will be received during the ceremony. By invitation only.

11:00 am – 2:00 pm Lundy Museum Lundy-Fetterman School of Business The museum opened in October 2001 and houses a large collection of 175 animals including a polar bear, and mountain goat from Alaska, as well as several large animals from Africa. The collections were gathered by Burrows T. and Mabel L. Lundy, who were avid hunters and self-proclaimed conservationists. The museum will be open for visitors to enjoy the schools varied collections.
11:30 am – 1:30 pm Family Recreation Carter Gym Stop by historic Carter Gym for some fun games with Campus Recreation. There will be numerous activities including corn hole, kan jam, giant jenga, giant connet4, and more. Come have some fun and have the chance to win a prize by entering our Basketball Free Throw contest!
1:00 pm Fraternity Sorority Life Tailgate Across from Convocation Center Entrance in the grass area of the Union Parking Lot For students in Fraternity & Sorority Life and their visiting families. Let’s celebrate before the game! Join your fellow Fraternities and Sororities members and their families at a catered tailgate before the Campbell University Basketball game. The tail gate begins at 1:00 pm and the game starts at 2:00 pm. Pre-registration required for the event.

President Creed and the Campbell University Dean’s will host the President and Dean’s List Recipients and their families to celebrate their fall semester academic accomplishment. **Directly following the Men’s Basketball game. By invitation only.

Sean Ridgeway is a multi-award-winning entertainer who has brought his unique blend of comedy and magic to thousands of people nationwide. His one-man show titled “Catch Me If You Can” features a highly-interactive and playful mix of stand-up comedy, sleight of hand and sleight of mind and has garnered rave reviews from corporate functions, colleges, comedy clubs and theaters. Families and students are invited to worship together in Butler Chapel. The worship time will be led by students and family members. This unique gathering is the perfect ending to Family Weekend.
