- Attended the Association of Theological Schools Women in Leadership Cohort and Annual Meeting, March 2026, Toronto, Canada. I was nominated by the Dean and Associate Dean to be a part of this cohort of women in leadership in theological education institutions, sponsored by a grant from the Lilly Endowment. We met first in March 2025, followed by a year of mentorship and accompaniment with monthly meetings. Our final meeting was in person in March 2026.

Major Goals: To effectively construct and deliver lipid nanoparticles containing microRNA into human platelets.
- Role: Principal Investigator (Dr. Krisztian Toth Co-Investigator). Title: Role of the Ghrelin and Biased Signaling in Inflammation. Project Number: NCURCS25. Agency: North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities (NCICU). Project Period: 5/01/25 – 4/30/26. Major Goals: To test whether the ghrelin directly impacts cytokine production in mouse leukocytes and whether the ghrelin receptor operates via biased signaling mechanisms.

This was awarded to refine, formalize, and prepare for publication the low-cost, skills-centered CURE I developed and piloted for CHEM 432L in Spring 2026. I will be (1) evaluating and optimizing the pilot protocols, (2) generating validated reagent batches, (3) transforming the pilot structure into a robust, reproducible CURE framework, and (4) begin preparing the work for publication and presentation.
