(2023) Grant awarded from the Anonymous Trust Fund to begin and support a “Community Collaborative Support Center” at Dunn Elementary for grades 3-5 students.  This is a unique partnership and collaboration between the Duke Ormond Center, Harnett County Schools, and Campbell University’s Professional Education Department. The goals of this community collaborative support center (CCTC) are:
      1. to provide struggling students within a rural community access to an equitable and research based tutoring program to support academic achievement and wellbeing
      2. to provide teacher education candidates within a rural Educator Preparation Program access to actual tutoring opportunities to apply skillsets learned within a teacher education training program
      3. to provide students seeking ministerial degrees or positions opportunities to engage the local faith congregations, communities and schools
      4. to provide the local school district support in the academic achievement of students within their care
      5. to provide the local community (faith based, etc.) support through outreach and “in reach” through workshops, seminars, and information sessions
