Our Mission

The Office of General Counsel (“OGC”) manages and supervises all legal affairs for Campbell University. The General Counsel serves as the legal counsel to the Board of Trustees and the University. This office provides legal advice to the President, Board of Trustees, faculty and administration on a wide array of legal issues. The Office of General Counsel strives to advance the mission of the University by providing timely, professional and practical advice toward sound decision making in all issues that face the University. We assist our client in achieving its educational goals within the framework of state and federal laws, and policies and plans adopted by the Board of Trustees and President, comply with local, state, federal and international laws in all University activities, and educate and train University officers and employees to prevent and appropriately resolve disputes affecting the University’s operations. The OGC also is responsible for hiring and supervising all persons and firms who provide legal advice to the University, including outside counsel.
