Graduation Ceremonies

August 2024 Graduation Conferral

The August 2024 Conferral date will be August 30, 2024. Because there is no ceremony in August, all students who qualify for and are deemed academically cleared, will be mailed a diploma after the August 30, 2024 conferral date to the diploma mailing address that was provided on their graduation application. Also, any August graduate that has not previously participated in a ceremony may participate in the upcoming December 2024 Ceremony in the fall. Once logistics for the December 2024 Ceremony are finalized all August 2024 graduates will be notified via their Campbell University email by the Registrar’s Office.

General Information

LIVESTREAM VIEWING: All ceremonies will be live-streamed via the Campbell University’s Livestream.

PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEOGRAPHY: We will have professional photographers and videographers recording all ceremonies. This means no external videography or photography is allowed (except for cell phones and small cameras while seated).

NAMES: All graduation candidates’ names will be called, regardless if they are in attendance or not in-person at the venue. Students who are in-person will cross the stage as their name is called. This affords the opportunity to all students for participating in the ceremony either virtually or in person.

DIPLOMAS: We expect to mail the diplomas 4-6 weeks after the May Ceremonies are completed. If you need to update your diploma mailing address after you submit your graduation application, please email Ms. Melissa McLamb

GRADUATION CEREMONY ATTIRE:  Please be aware that approved ceremony attire/regalia to be worn by graduation candidates consists of the University issued cap, gown, tassel, hood (if applicable, purchased from the CU  Bookstore), Latin honor cord (if applicable to be distributed by the Registrar’s Office representative the day of the ceremony), Freshman Medallion (if applicable), and approved graduation adornments associated with official university organizational membership.  Please note that official university organizations are vetted within the structure of the Vice President for Student Life for undergraduates and through the relevant Dean’s Office for graduate and professional programs. Please CLICK HERE for a list of currently approved graduation adornments associated with official university organizational memberships for Spring 2024.
