Blackboard Ultra Navigation

End Date: December 2020

Current Status: In Progress

Campbell University will be transitioning to Blackboard Ultra to provide an upgraded navigation experience. This only impacts the dashboard and navigation within Blackboard. Courses will remain the same. Blackboard Ultra offers a more modern, intuitive navigation that provides quick access to the most critical information from all courses. It creates a more engaging and efficient experience for students and instructors. Benefits of using the Ultra navigation include:

  • One click to take action
  • Responsive on mobile devices

The new navigation experience will be available for Spring 2021 semester.

Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Trunking

End Date: December 2020

Current Status: In Progress

This is the third phase of the University’s conversion to Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), following the installation of IP phones across main campus. This provides a consolidated communication system, an upgraded, reliable phone service, easy-to-manage communication system, and allows for use of VoIP softphone capability. SIP trunks deliver telephone services from campus to external entities over the data network.

Zoom Video Conferencing

End Date: January 2021

Current Status: In Progress

Zoom videoconferencing will be available for all faculty, staff, and students to support remote instructions, work and communications. The cloud-based service allows easy online meetings, audio calls, and group messaging.

Residential Management Systems (RMS) Integration Update

End Date: December 2020

Current Status: In Progress

RMS integrates student information, finance, residence life, and building access management systems. This will provide improved accuracy for billing to student accounts.

PaperCut Print Management Software

End Date:  Spring 2021

Current Status: In Progress

PaperCut offers a number of printing solutions that will assist with easy printing, secure printing, waste control, and printer workflows. For faculty and staff,  it will provide for ease in printer selection, cost tracking to better control print costs, and secure printing. For students, PaperCut Mobility Print allows remote pay-for-print system from Chromebooks, iPads, iPhones, Macs, Windows, and Android devices.
