- A case is a student or employee who has tested positive.
- A suspect case is a student or employee who was exposed to a case and is symptomatic but has not yet received test results.
- A contact/exposure is a student or employee who has had physical contact (of any duration), close contact (within 6 feet for at least 15 minutes without face coverings), or proximate contact (more than 6 feet but in the same room with contact for more than an hour without face coverings) with a case or suspect case.
- A case infection period begins two days prior to symptom onset and extends 10 days after onset or three days after the resolution of all symptoms (whichever is longer).
Campbell University is also partnering with the NC Department of Health & Human Services (NCDHHS) to promote the use of SlowCOVIDNC, the free and official COVID-19 exposure notifications app. This statewide public health tool is in addition to contact tracing within the campus community.
