Education & Social Work in Costa Rica

This program is not currently scheduled to take place.

Attend Spanish Language School in the morning, and travel with Campbell in the afternoons. Visit schools and social work centers to meet local professionals. Live with Tico families and enjoy home-cooked meals. Explore Punta Leona beach resort, Manuel Antonio National Park and beach, Monteverde Cloud Forest ( optional ziplining or horseback riding),  Poas Volcano, La Paz Waterfall and animal sanctuary.

Enroll in one 3-credit Campbell course.

Courses offered:

  • EDUC 501: Diversity in & the Structure of the School Communities of Costa Rica and NC
  • SOWK 306: Culture and Change in Costa Rica

Also earn 3 transfer credits in Spanish from the language school in Costa Rica

  • SPAN 101, 102, 201, & 202: Elementary & Intermediate Spanish
  • SPAN 301: Advanced Grammar

Approximate Cost: $4,100 – $4,400

Includes flight, ground transportation, housing, excursions and some meals.

Tuition not included. 3 credits tuition will be Summer billing.
