Exercise is an important part of managing of your diabetes.  Below is a listing of local resources to provide you with ways of controlling your diabetes through exercise. 

Dunn-Erwin Trail

Description:  A 5.3-mile nature trail built along the path of what used to be an abandoned railroad
Location:  Exit 73, I-95 to Orange Avenue

Raven Rock State Park

Description:  Over 3,000-acre nature park where one can hike, fish, canoe, camp, and kayak
Location:  Nine miles west of Lillington off US-421
Hours:  November-February, 8am-6pm
             March and October, 8am-7pm
             April, May, and September, 8am-8pm
             June-August, 8am-9pm

Nathan Johnson Natatorium

Description:  Indoor swimming pool that offers water aerobics classes as well as specific hours for lap swimming and open swim
Location:  Campbell University

Description:  Two ball fields (for youth athletics) and three tennis courts

Clarence Lee Tart Park

Description:  Nine ball fields and a one-mile walking track
