Installing JMP on Your Computer

Begin by downloading the JMP.zip file to your My Documents folder. Right-Click the file and choose Extract All.

Next, a wizard will open, informing you that you are in the Compressed (zipped) Folders Extraction Wizard. Click Next.

The next window will ask you to select a location for the file to unzip to. Leave the default (confirm it is going to the My Documents folder) and click Next.

After you click next, the Extracting line will fill. Next, you will be told the file has extracted successfully. A default selection on the page is to open the folder that the files were extracted to. Click Finish.

When the JMP window opens, double click the Launch file. This will begin the installation process for the JMP software.

To begin with, run the System Requirements Wizard. Click the blue block next to Step 1.

This first page that loads announces the beginning to the System Requirements Wizard.

Next, follow any instructions that come up. When finished, click Finish to go back to the JMP Installation Menu.

Next, we will Install JMP 7. Click the blue block next to Install JMP 7.

You will now be asked to close all software before continuing. Do so and click Next.

Next, you will be asked the location you want to install the software. We recommend leaving the default as the location. Click Next.

Next, you will be asked what features of the JMP software you want to install. We recommend leaving the default settings. Click Next.

Next, you will be given a chance to go back and change settings if you are not sure of them. Click Install.

Now, a green bar will progress across the screen, marking the progression of the installation. Wait as it does so.

Finally, when the installation is finished, a window will come up announcing that. Click Finish.

Next, double click the JMP icon on your desktop. You will be asked to provide a license for the software. Click Open License.

An open file window will open, revealing the contents of your My Documents folder. Double Click the JMP folder.

Next, Double Click the folder named JMP License File.

Next, Double Click the JMP_Installation File.

Next, click OK. DO NOT EDIT THE INFORMATION IN THE ADMINISTRATOR NAME BOX OR ADD ANYTHING TO THE DEPARTMENT BOX OR YOUR INSTALLATION WILL NOT BE SUCCESSFUL!

Now, you will be asked to save a file. Go back to the JMP License File folder, where you found the Text Document, and save the file there.

Your software installation is complete. You may now use the JMP 7 software.
