Wireless Resources
Campbell University is now providing wireless access to the internet in specific locations for laptops with Windows 2000 or XP.

Locations where wireless access is available are the following:

  • The Law School - Both the Kivett and Wiggins buildings
  • Taylor Hall
  • The Science Building
  • The Drug Information Center
  • Lundy-Fetterman School of Business
  • Wallace Student Center
  • Carrie-Rich Library
  • Shouse Dining Hall
  • RTP Campus
  • Marshbanks Cafeteria
  • D. Rich Hall - Both the Classroom Area and Turner Auditorium
  • Hight House
  • Carter Gym
  • Athletic Training Center
  • Natatorium
  • McKay and Wallace Houses
  • Northeast Apartments Complex
  • All Dorm Lobbies - Both Men's and Women's Campuses
  • Pope Campus

We offer instructions on setting up wireless access on machines.  The available instructions are here..

Note:  If you don't connect the first try, run scans for viruses and spyware, then try again.  Machines with as few as five pieces of spyware have had their wireless signal choked by the amount of traffic on their machine.  You should also make sure that you have the most modern version of the driver (software) for your card installed.  You will have to obtain that from the manufacturer's website.
