Tutoring Centers will open on September 6th for the Fall 2016 Semester

CU Tutoring Centers

The CU Tutoring Centers offer peer tutoring for our most in-demand courses in multiple locations on campus.

Wiggins Memorial Library Location

Third Floor - Sunday-Thursday 7-10 p.m.  To allow sufficient time for tutors to assist students, the last tutor referral will be made at 9:30pm.

The following courses are being offered this semester at the Wiggins Memorial Library location:
BIOL 101 Biology for Life
BIOL 111 Basic Biology
BIOL 221/222 Human Anatomy & Phys
CHEM 111 General Chemistry II
CHEM 227 Organic Chemistry II
History 111/112 Western Civilization
PSYC 222 Intro to Psychology
Spanish 101, 102, 201 and 202
CHRS 125 Introduction to Christianity

Lundy-Fetterman Location

Room 149 - Sunday-Thursday 7-10 p.m.  To allow sufficient time for tutors to assist students, the last tutor referral will be made at 9:30pm.

MATH 110 Fundamentals of Math
MATH 111 College Algebra
MATH 112 Trigonometry
MATH 115 Pre-Calculus
MATH 120 Calculus for Business

Higher level math support may be available upon request.
ECON 201 Microeconomics
ECON 202 Macroeconomics
ACCT 215 Financial Accounting
ACCT 216 Managerial Accounting

Note: Personal laptops are not allowed in the Tutoring Centers. To encourage independent learning and critical thinking, tutors are not allowed complete homework with students. Students should first attempt their homework and then request a tutor's assistance on a specific problem or question. Students may print the homework problem in which difficulty is experienced for a tutor to review, once the student has made an attempt.

Special Fall 2016 Semester Dates to Remember:
  • All Tutoring Centers will be closed Oct. 12-13 for fall break and will reopen Oct. 16.
  • All Tutoring Centers will not be open on Nov. 23-24 for Thanksgiving and will reopen on Nov. 27.
  • All Tutoring Centers will close for the semester at the end of the Dec. 5 session and will not be open on Reading Day or during Exams.

Peer Tutoring

Tutoring for subjects not listed above is available through Peer Tutoring. If you are a commuting student or have another circumstance that keeps you from using the Tutoring Center, please visit the Student Success office to learn about other resources.  If you have questions about this process, please email [email protected]
