Student Health Insurance
To ensure compliance with the new Affordable Care Act, Campbell University is requiring all full-time, main campus, undergraduate students to provide proof of insurance coverage or enroll in Campbell University’s student domestic health insurance plan. The Online portal will open on November 20, 2013 and ACTION IS REQUIRED by January 31, 2014 to avoid non-refundable charges to your student account.
To enroll in the domestic plan, please click on “Enroll in Student Health Insurance” and enroll in the plan. Your information will be processed by our insurance provider, you will receive an email confirmation that you are enrolled, and your student account will be charged accordingly.
If you are covered by a personal policy and wish to complete a Waiver, click on “Waive Student Health Insurance” and follow the steps to compete your Waiver request. Have your insurance card available, you will be required to provide your insurance information. Our insurance provider will review the waiver request and determine if your plan meets requirements of the Affordable Care Act. If your waiver is approved you will receive an email confirmation and your student account will not be charged.
All full-time, main campus, undergraduate students are required to complete the Waiver or enroll in the domestic policy by January 31, 2014. If you do not complete the Waiver, between November 20, 2013 thru January 31, 2014 or do not sign up for insurance by the deadline date you will be automatically enrolled in the Campbell University policy and your student account will be charged accordingly. Student Health Insurance will be purchased for you on February 1, 2014; therefore, charges applied to the student account are non-refundable.
For students who completed the online waiver in the Fall semester FOR the fall and spring terms and received an email conformation saying you had been waived, no further action is required for the Spring 2014 semester. To verify your coverage has been approved please visit www.studentinsurance.com/Schools/NC/CAM/. Students will be required to submit a new waiver each Fall for “the New” academic year.
Graduate and Professional:
If you are a graduate or professional level student and would like to purchase the Campbell University policy please click on “Enroll in Student Health Insurance” and sign up. Your student account will be billed for the charge. Please be aware that the charge will not appear on your student account until after the portal closes on January 31, 2014 unless you already signed up in the fall semester for the year.

Effective fall 2010, international students are required to purchase Hospitalization/Sickness Insurance. International students will be automatically enrolled into the insurance plan by the Business Office. The cost of insurance coverage will be charged to your student account. The Business Office will remit payment to the insurance company on your behalf and contact you when insurance cards become available.
