MEMORANDUM FOR CAMPBELL BATTALION CADRE AND CADETS

SUBJECT:  Policy Letter #8, Cadre/Student Relations

1.  The Cadre in this battalion represents the United States Army, the military and the Department of Defense.  The public’s perception of our cadre will form the public’s perception of all three organizations.

2.  It is important that faculty, staff and cadets understand what this command considers appropriate relationships between cadre and students. 

3.  Cadre members will always exhibit professional personal conduct, which reflects favorably on his or herself, the Campbell Battalion, Campbell University, Cadet Command and the United States Army.

4.  Prohibited personal relationships include, but are not limited to:

 -Any unofficial activity or relationship of an actual or apparent personal nature will not be tolerated.  This includes dating, socializing, or other direct and personal contact of any type regarding romantic or sexual conduct.

                -In General, unit members should follow and apply the Army Fraternization Policy as stated in Chapter 10 of AR 600-20.

5.  The provisions of this policy are punitive in nature.  Violations of this policy may result in adverse actions under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
