MEMORANDUM FOR CAMPBELL BATTALION CADRE AND
CADETS
SUBJECT: Policy Letter #17, Cadet
Practical Field Training (CPFT)
1. References:

2. Every year the number of cadets
desiring to attend off-campus training (Airborne, Air Assault,
CTLT etc.) exceeds the number of allocations. To ensure the
best qualified cadets are selected and the selection process is
fair and impartial the following guidelines are established.
3. Individual selection criteria:
a.
The cadet must volunteer
b.
2.0 GPA or better
c.
250 or above on the APFT
d.
APMS Recommendation: (Military Science Level,
Performance, Potential)
e.
Valid Medical Clearance (Airborne School must receive
airborne physical)
f.
CTLT- Cadets may not be enrolled in the simultaneous
membership program
g.
PMS Approval
4. An order of merit list is developed as
part of this policy. All Cadets willing to participate must be
prepared to attend training with short notice. School
allocations are sub-divided to schools in the battalion based on
interest, enrollment percentage and meeting the criteria listed
above.
5. School allocations are assigned to the
following military science levels: II, I and III (camp
graduates). Some allocations are linked directly to the Warrior
Forge Regiments and are not the purview of this battalion. MS
III Cadets will compete for Warrior Forge slots first and then
for battalion allocations as they arise.
