Cadre Bios
Master Sergeant Steven F. Ziebarth enlisted in the Army in December of 1986 and attended Basic and One Station Unit Training at Fort Knox, Kentucky, where he graduated as a Cavalry Scout. MSG Ziebarth has served in every duty and leadership position from Dismounted Scout to HHT First Sergeant in his career field over the last twenty years. He has served in 4th Squadron, 4th Cavalry, 3 ID, 3rd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Squadron, 4th Cavalry, 3 ID, 1st Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment(OPFOR), 3rd Battalion, 13th Infantry(BCT), 1st Squadron, 4th Cavalry, 1 ID and most recently with the 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry(ABN), 173 INF BDE (ABN). He has served three over-seas tours in Germany and two combat tours during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm and most recently Operation Iraqi Freedom II. His military education includes: Bradley Fighting Vehicle Master Gunners Course, Drill Sergeant School, Cavalry Leaders Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Noncommissioned Officers Course and the Advanced Noncommissioned Officers Course. He is presently pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Business Management. MSG Ziebarth’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal w/ (2 OLC), the Army Commendation Medal w/ (4 OLC), the Army Achievement Medal w/ (7OLC), Good Conduct Medal 6th Award, the National Defense Service Medal w/Bronze Star, the Southwest Asia Service Medal w/3 Bronze Stars, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terror Service Medal, the Kuwaiti Liberation Medal from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Kuwaiti Liberation Medal from the Government of Kuwait, the Combat Action Badge and the Drill Sergeant Identification Badge. |
