Second orientation set for this weekend
Campbell University Admissions counselor, Michelle
Efird, said the university is expecting approximately 1,200 students and their
parents at the second New Student Orientation session set for Friday and
Saturday, July 13-14.
Students and parents who attend this orientation will
be treated to live entertainment by comedian Steve Brogan, a special screening
of “Night at the Museum” and a Night Owl party on Fellowship Commons featuring
local group, “Willow Drive.”
Dean of Admissions Herb Kerner said he attributes the
increase to innovative new programs and leadership, including new building and
landscaping projects, as well as academic programs.
The orientation begins at 8 a.m. Friday and ends
Saturday after students have been allowed to register for classes.
