School of Business confers 163 graduate degrees
Campbell’s Lundy-Fetterman School of Business conferred
163 graduate degrees at a hooding service on Sunday, May 13, in the Rogers Fine
Arts Center. Among the degrees awarded were the Bachelor of Business
Administration/Master of Business Administration; Doctor of Pharmacy/Master of
Business Administration; Juris Doctor/Master of Business Administration; and
Master of Divinity/Master of Business Administration.
Suzanne Burns, president of IDEX Corporation’s Fluid
Management Business Division, delivered the keynote address.
“As you celebrate your success today,” said Burns, “ask
yourself how big is your pond going to be? Who you associate yourself with and
building the very best team are powerful competitive weapons in any market—local
or global.”
Burns was nominated to the “Wall Street Journal’s” Top
50 Women to Watch and named Internal Executive of the Year by Women in
International Trade. She serves on a variety of administrative boards and is a
member of the national Women President’s Organization and Women Business Leaders
of the U.S. Healthcare Industry Foundation. Burns holds an MBA from Case Western
Reserve University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin.
Developed from Campbell’s first Department of Business,
established in 1893, the Lundy-Fetterman School of Business was formally
established in 1983. It offers undergraduate degrees in business administration,
accounting, trust management, computer information systems, economics,
international business, and golf management, as well as a Master of Business
Administration and a Master of Trust and Investment Management. Reporting an
enrollment of over 1,000 students and has a golf management program approved by
the PGA.
