Dafford Elected to Campbell
University Board
Dallas L. Dafford, of Dunn, N.C., has been elected to Campbell University’s
Presidential Board of Advisors. Dafford is the president of Dafford Funeral
Homes in Dunn and Angier, N.C.
A graduate of the University of Minnesota, Dafford
received an Associate of Arts degree in 1969. He has served as a member of the
Dunn City Council and was Mayor Pro-Tem of Dunn from 1987-1997.
He is also a member of the Dunn Rotary Club and a past
president and member of the Funeral Directors and Morticians Association of
North Carolina. Other civic and professional activities include membership in
the National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association and the Dunn Masonic
Lodge. In addition, Dafford is a founding member of the board of directors of
New Century Bank in Dunn and a member of the board of directors of the Friends
of Cancer organization at Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital.
He and his wife Mary are members of the Dunn Chapel
Free Will Baptist Church, where he serves on the board of trustees. The Daffords
are the parents of two children, Teresa E. Dafford, who is employed by the
Durham County School System, and Dallas L. Dafford, Jr., who is the manager of
Dafford Funeral Home in Angier.
