Raleigh businessman elected to
Campbell University board
Andrew “Ben” Snellings, of Raleigh, N.C., has been elected to Campbell
University’s Presidential Board of Advisors. Snellings is an independent
businessman.
A native of Fredericksburg, Va., he graduated from
Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in
American history. He also served in the United States Navy during World War II.
Snellings is the “loving and devoted” husband of Geri
Hubert Snellings, formerly a university librarian and his business partner, who
has had Alzheimers disease for nine and one-half years.
Founded in 1887, Campbell University is North
Carolina’s second largest private institution of higher education and the second
largest Baptist university in the world. Located in Buies Creek, N.C., just east
of the center of the state, Campbell combines academic excellence and Christian
commitment.
The University boasts a strong undergraduate program
and offers seven undergraduate degrees and provides 90 various tracks and
concentrations, including trust management, professional golf management, double
major and major/minor opportunities. Campbell also has five professional
schools--law, pharmacy, divinity, education and business. In athletics,
Campbell’s “fighting camels” are members of the NCAA Division I Atlantic Sun
Conference.
