Dr. Bruce Caldwell, author of “Hayek’s Challenge,” a biography of one of the most influential economists of the 20th Century, will be the featured speaker at Campbell University’s first FREE Forum lecture, Thursday, September 9, at 5 p.m. in Lynch Auditorium of the Lundy-Fetterman School of Business. The FREE Forum Lecture series will focus on the relevance of Hayek’s book, “The Road to Serfdom,” in today’s political and economic environment.

Hayek, Caldwell is the Rosenthal Excellence Professor of Economics at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He is president of the History of Economics Society and serves on editorial boards of several economic journals. Caldwell also served as general editor of the book “The Collected Works of F.A. Hayek.” His biography of Hayek, “Hayek’s Challenge,” is published by the University of Chicago Press.
