Former Campbell Professor Publishes Book

Dr. Lenne Kugler-Hunt |
When Dr. Lenne Kugler-Hunt walks through her garden
and commands the aphids to be gone, she is taking dominion over her
environment, a God-given mandate for all heirs to the Kingdom. Her
book, The Fatherhood of God and the Sonship of Man, explores
the fatherly aspect of mankind’s relationship with God and how it
empowers us. Hunt is a former Campbell University psychology
professor who left to pursue a career in writing and illustration.
“Of course, that’s really an extreme example,” Kugler-Hunt
said of the aphids, “but it isn’t all that far-fetched if we are to
believe scripture. As the Son of God, Jesus imparts to us that piece of
himself that knew how to be a son and with that comes a destiny and a
calling.”
Kugler-Hunt explains that if we were to really realize
who we’re called to be, it would be greater and more powerful than our
most imaginative fantasy. “One issue of being a son is to have dominion
over things,” she said. “God called Adam to ‘tend the garden,’ to ‘work
the land.’ Adam’s job was to stand in the breach to face the enemy, and
he could act out of God’s power in regard to the land and the animals.”
