School of Education to host
Scholastic Book Fair
Campbell University’s
Birth-Kindergarten education and child development programs will host a
Scholastic Book Fair, April 26-May 2, from 12-6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of
Memorial Baptist Church in Buies Creek.
The Book Fair is being held to highlight the Week of the Young Child, a national
event sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children
(NAEYC). The NAEYC works to improve professional practice and support early
childhood educational programs by building highly effective groups committed to
focusing on the needs of young children.
The Scholastic Book Fair will feature popular books for ages pre-school to
eighth grade, according to Dr. Connie Chester, coordinator of the B-K program at
Campbell.
“It will be a great learning
experience for students and children,” Chester said.
