Theater Arts brings Vaclav Havel play to Campbell stage
As the spring semester comes to a close, the Campbell
University Theater Arts Department will present its last play of the season,
“The Increased Difficulty of Concentration,” an international work by Vaclav
Havel, who was connected with the Czech cultural and political scene from the
1920s to the 1940s.
Performances of “The Increased Difficulty of
Concentration” are set for 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April.21-22, and
Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April.27-29, in the Ellis Theater of the Rogers
Fine Arts Center on campus.
Vaclav Havel was a playwright and political dissenter
who became president of the Czech Republic. His plays include “The Garden
Party,” “The Memorandum,” “Edward,” “The increased Difficulty of Concentration”
and many more.
