Campbell student crowned Miss Harnett County 2006
Campbell University’s Stevie Rivenbark, of Teachey, N.C., now wears the crown of
Miss Harnett County 2006.
“The pageant was a great opportunity and experience,”
says Rivenbark. “The Miss America program offers more scholarship money than any
other organization nationwide. I am thrilled to be a part of that.”
Rivenbark is a Business Administration major at
Campbell University. She enjoys the Christian atmosphere the college offers.
“Its great to be surrounded by Christian ideals and values,” said Rivenbark. In
the future, she hopes to run her own music business and recording studio.
Rivenbark’s platform for Miss Harnett County is
fostering the underprivileged through the gift of music. At age 16, she founded
the “Gift of Music,” a volunteer organization to provide music education to
foster children. Rivenbark has a passion for foster children as her family was
involved with the foster care program for five years. She now focuses her
attention on the local elementary schools in the area, sharing her passion for
music with those who cannot afford music lessons.
Rivenbark is a typical college girl, who enjoys
spending time with friends, shopping and going to the beach. She is a lover of
music and has been playing the violin for 15 years. She also enjoys singing with
her dad’s “Living Will Ministry Band” and is a member of the Alpha Delta Pi
Sorority.
