Reed Elected to Board of Ministers
The Rev. Steve Drew Reed, of Erwin, NC, was recently
elected to the Campbell University Board of Ministers. The Board of
Ministers is an advisory and participatory group that provides
insight and assistance in the fulfillment of the University's
mission to provide Christian higher education to worthy young men
and women.
Currently, Reed serves as pastor of First Baptist
Church in Erwin, NC. A native of Marietta, GA, he attended Mercer
University in Macon, GA, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in theology
and communications. Reed earned a Master's of Religious Education
degree in administration and church growth at New Orleans Baptist
Theological Seminary in New Orleans, LA. He has completed some
studies in human resource development at Georgia State University in
Atlanta, GA, and communications at Southwestern Baptist Theological
Seminary in Fort Worth, TX. Reed serves on the board of directors
for the Erwin Lions Club and the Erwin Area Chamber of Commerce.
Reed is married to the former Darla Ezelle of
Sandersville, GA. They have two children, Amanda and Jamie.
Founded in 1887, Campbell University is North Carolina's
second largest private institution of higher education and the second
largest Baptist university in the world. Located in Buies Creek, NC,
just east of the center of the state, Campbell combines academic
excellence and Christian commitment.
