Wind Ensemble to Perform at Campbell
The Campbell University Wind Ensemble will present a
Pops concert on Monday, April 19, at 8 p.m. in Scott Concert Hall of
the Taylor Bott Rogers Fine Arts Center. Admission is free and
open to the public.
The ensemble,
directed by Dwayne Wilson, director of bands at Campbell, will perform
selected highlights from Broadway shows including Bye Bye Birdie,
West Side Story, The Phantom of the Opera, Little Shop
of Horrors, and Les Miserables.
Student conductors include seniors Amy Jackson, of Dunn,
NC; Erica Coleman, of Scotland Neck, NC; Graham Byrd, of Dunn, NC; Kelly
Person, of Benson, NC; Laura Kate Harvey, of Apex, NC; and Becky
Jorgenson, of Apex, NC.
The Campbell University Wind Ensemble includes music
majors and minors, as well as students from numerous other academic
majors.
