Percussion Ensemble to Perform at Campbell
The
Campbell University Percussion Ensemble will present a spring concert at
Campbell University on Monday, April 5 at 8 p.m. in Scott Concert Hall
of the Taylor Bott Rogers Fine Arts Center. Admission is free and open
to the public.
Several senior conductors will be featured in the program. Kelly
Person, of Benson, NC, will be the main soloist, conducting
Hungarian No. 5, by Johannes Brahms. Other student conductors
include Amy Jackson, of Dunn, NC; Graham Byrd, of Dunn, NC; and
Erica Coleman, of Scotland Neck, NC.
The program
for the evening will also include
Allegro Prestissimo, by Jean
Barriere and Walk Like an Egyptian, by Liam Sternberg. Dwayne Wilson,
director of bands at Campbell, will conduct the program. The percussion
ensemble presents a program every semester.
