Prairie Winds to Perform at Campbell
The wind quintet Prairie Winds is scheduled to
perform at Campbell University on Thursday, March 25 at 8 p.m. in
Scott Concert Hall of the Taylor Bott Rogers Fine Arts Center.
Admission is free and open to the public.
The program is an enjoyable mix of light classics and popular
selections, presented with humorous commentary and musical information.
Notable appearances by the Prairie Winds include performances at the Ravinia
Music Festival, the Dame Myra Hess Concert Series, and twice on “Live for
Studio One” of WFMT classical radio Chicago. Recently the Prairie Winds
released their first recording, “Gale Force.” The members of the Prairie Winds
are all dynamic teachers; they inspire heightened musical awareness and lay a
foundation for tomorrow’s audiences.
