Senior Huntre Basnight of Fayetteville, NC, is
scheduled to perform a voice recital at Campbell University on
Thursday, March 18 at 8 p.m. The recital will be held in Scott
Concert Hall of the Taylor Bott Rogers Fine Arts Center. Admission
is free and open to the public.
The program for the evening will include Habenera, from
Carmen, by George Bizet; and Non so piu cosa son, from Le
Nozze di Figaro, by W.A. Mozart.
Basnight has studied voice for the past four years with Ms.
Miriam Anderson and Dr. Philip Morrow, the choral director at Campbell. She is
a member of the university choir and Campbell Voices, the Music Department's
vocal chamber ensemble. Basnight performs regularly at church productions,
community events, and luncheons at Campbell. After graduating, she plans to
attend the University of North Carolina at Greensboro to earn her master's
degree in music performance.
