Senior Pianist to Perform at Campbell
Campbell piano student Becky Jorgenson of Apex, NC,
is scheduled to perform at Campbell University on Tuesday, March 16
at 8 p.m. The recital will be held in Scott Concert Hall of the
Taylor Bott Rogers Fine Arts Center. Admission is free and open to
the public.
The program for the evening will include Sonata Opus 31 no.
2 in D minor, by Beethoven, Prelude in G minor by Rachmaninov, and
Nocturne in E minor, by Chopin.
Jorgenson, a senior, has studied piano for the past four years
with Dr. Richard McKee, the director of piano studies at Campbell. She has
performed in informal recitals at Campbell every semester since she was a
freshman. Jorgenson was also nominated for the Alma Dark Howard Scholarship
for graduate school. After graduation, she plans to attend graduate school to
earn her master’s degree in piano performance.
