Senior Pianist to Perform at Campbell
Senior Laura Kate Harvey, of Cary, NC, is scheduled
to perform at Campbell University on Tuesday, March 2 at 8 p.m. The
recital will be held in Scott Concert Hall of the Taylor Bott Rogers
Fine Arts Center. Admission is free and open to the public.
The program for the evening will include Pathetique Sonata
Opus 13, by Beethoven, and Nocturne C Sharp Minor, Opus 27 no. 1,
by Frederic Chopin.
Harvey has recently
performed in a concerto competition with the Raleigh Symphony Orchestra. She
has studied piano for the past four years with Dr. Richard McKee, the director
of piano studies at Campbell. Harvey is also a member of the wind ensemble and
percussion ensemble at Campbell. After graduating, she plans to attend
graduate school to earn her master’s degree in piano performance.
