Howard elected to Campbell University Board of Trustees
Scarlett Howard, of Deep Run, N.C., has been elected to
the Campbell University Board of Trustees. She and her husband John C. Howard
own and operate J.C. Howard Farms, a pork production and agricultural business
in Lenoir and Jones counties.
Before becoming her husband’s business partner, Howard
taught school for many years.
She is a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Deep Run,
where she served as a member of several committees, including Building and
Grounds, Youth and Senior Citizens Banquet and Nursery. In addition, Howard was
a Sunday school teacher and participated in various other church activities.
The Howards are the parents of four children.
Founded in 1887, Campbell University is a private,
coeducational institution of liberal arts, sciences and professions offering
undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degrees. The university is comprised of the
College of Arts and Sciences, the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, the
Lundy-Fetterman School of Business, the School of Education, the School of
Pharmacy and the Divinity School.
