Kane joins faculty of Campbell School of Education

     Jacqueline Kane has joined the faculty of the Campbell University School of Education as an assistant professor of Social Work. Kane was the coordinator of Children’s Services and Clinical Social Work Specialist for Lee-Harnett Mental Health Center from 1984-1994. She has been an adjunct professor at Campbell since 1994.
     A graduate of Ohio State University, Kane received a Bachelor of Science in Social Administration in 1952 and a Master of Arts in Social Work in 1954. She is an experienced professor and social work veteran, having served as a caseworker for the Monroe County Child Welfare and the Cuyahoga County Child Welfare agencies and as a psychiatric social worker and field instructor.
     “We are very pleased to have Mrs. Jacqueline Kane with us as assistant professor of Social Work,” said Dr. Karen Nery, dean of the School of Education. “Mrs. Kane has worked with us part-time since 1994 and has developed a good rapport with our students. Students are impressed with her rich background of practical social work experience and know that she is truly helping them begin to put theory into practice as she supervises their field experiences.”
     Kane holds memberships in the National Association of Social Workers and the Academy of Certified Social Workers. She has also served as a member of the Social Work Advisory Board.
