Sherron elected to Presidential Board of Advisors
Frank Sherron, of Lexington, N.C., has been elected to
the Campbell University Presidential Board of Advisors. Sherron is president and
CEO of Lexington State Bank, the largest community bank in the Piedmont Region
and one of the largest commercial banks in North Carolina.
A graduate of N.C. State University, Sherron received a
Bachelor of Science degree in business economics in 1977. He is an active member
of the community, working with the Davidson County United Way, the Lexington
Area YMCA, the Old North State Boy Scout Council and Westchester Academy.
Sherron is also a member of the Lexington Kiwanis Club and serves on several
area economic development boards.
He is married to the former Julia Barnes of
Fayetteville, N.C. They are the parents of two children, Haynes Sherron, who is
working on a master’s degree in Business Administration at Campbell University,
and Neill Sherron, who is transferring to Campbell in spring 2006.
