University Chamber Ensembles to perform
The Campbell University
Chamber Ensembles will perform Tuesday, November 8 at 8p.m. in Scott Concert
Hall, of the Rogers Fine Arts Center. The concert will include performances by
the Woodwind Ensemble, the Percussion Ensemble and the new Faculty Wind Quartet.
Admission is free and open to the public.
The Percussion Ensemble will present three pieces,
including “Streets of Ankara,” “Millennium,” and “Instant Carmen.” “Streets of
Ankara” is a work based on the odd meters used in eastern music. “Millennium” is
a piece describing the business of our world and “Instant Carmen” includes
famous excerpts from the world-renowned opera “Carmen.” The Faculty Wind Quartet
will perform popular selections from Rossini and Mozart.
