Floyd named Distinguished Alumnus of Campbell University
Gregory Everette Floyd of Kinston, N.C., has been named a Distinguished Alumnus
of Campbell University. Floyd, who is an attorney with White and Allen in
Kinston, was presented the award at Campbell’s annual Homecoming event on
Saturday, Oct. 22.
“The Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law pledges to
educate lawyers who are prepared to serve their fellow man with legal skills and
ethical and intellectual leadership,” said Doug Jones, assistant vice president
for Alumni Relations, Special Events and Annual Fund. “Gregory Floyd has
fulfilled that promise.”
A member of the board of directors of the Lenoir County
chapter of the American Red Cross and chairman of the Red Cross Building
Committee, Floyd is intimately involved in fundraising and other activities that
help make the Red Cross an important and viable part of the community. He is an
active member of First Baptist Church of Kinston and holds memberships in
several professional organizations, including the North Carolina Academy of
Trial Lawyers. He currently serves on Campbell University’s Presidential Board
of Advisors.
Floyd received his undergraduate degree in economics
from Reed College in Portland, Ore., and graduated from Campbell’s Norman Adrian
Wiggins School of Law in 2002.
