School of Pharmacy posts 100 percent on state boards
The Campbell University
School of Pharmacy has again posted a 100 percent passage rate on the North
Carolina Board of Pharmacy Exam. A total of 82 students took the 2005 exam. This
latest perfect score gives Campbell an average passage rate of 99 percent on the
state boards.
“I am pleased that the Campbell University School of
Pharmacy has been able to sustain excellent board scores,” said Dr. Ronald
Maddox, dean of the School of Pharmacy. “This represents the protracted
dedication of our faculty, staff and students. I also believe that the
undergirding of the Christian environment provided by the university is
imperative to the school’s success.”
Established in 1986, the Campbell University School of
Pharmacy is a member of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy. The
School’s primary mission is to train clinical pharmacists in a Christian
environment to meet existing and future health care needs and to guide students
to become well adjusted, exemplary citizens and community leaders.
In 2001, Campbell completed construction on a $3.2
million Pharmacy Research Facility. The 7,000 square-foot facility is designed
to integrate clinical research and pharmaceutical sciences programs with
industry demands. It includes laboratory space for instructional use,
independent research and drug formulation and development. Additional courses
are taught at the School of Pharmacy’s extended campus at Research Triangle
Park.
