Campbell to offer music classes for pre-school students

     The Campbell University Music Department presents Music Time, a preschool musical experience for children, ages 3-5. Classes are scheduled for Monday afternoons, from 3-3:50 p.m., September 12-December 5. Classes will meet in room 250 of the Rogers Fine Arts Center.
     Under the direction of Dr. Ran Whitley, chair of the Division of Fine Arts and associate professor of Music Education, Music Time gives preschoolers a foundation they can build on.
     “We sing, we play instruments, we play musical games and we move to music,” said Whitley. “It’s an enriching experience that prepares children for music study such as public school band and choir. They’re too young to study formally, but everything we do provides a rich foundation for subsequent musical study.”
