Senior Fellow at Cato Institute featured in Campbell Lecture Series

Buies Creek, N.C.—Douglas Bandow, a Senior Fellow at the Cato Institute in Washington, D.C., will discuss “America and the Imperial Temptation” at the annual Politics, Law and Economics Lecture sponsored by Campbell’s Lundy-Fetterman School of Business. Free and open to the public, the lecture will be held on Monday, Sept. 13, at 6 p.m. in Lynch Auditorium of the Lundy-Fetterman School of Business. The event is an annual presentation of the Lundy Chair of the Philosophy of Business.
Specializing in foreign policy and civil liberties, Bandow has worked as a special assistant to President Ronald Reagan and as editor of the political magazine “Inquiry.” His writings appear regularly in “Fortune” magazine, “National Interest,” the “Wall Street Journal and the “Washinginton Times.”
Bandow also frequently speaks about political policy issues at colleges, academic conferences and business groups. He is a regular commentator on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, Fox News Channel and MSNBC television networks. Bandow holds a Juris Doctor from Stanford University.
His published works include, “Strengthening the All-Volunteer Military” and “The Balkans,” book chapters for the “Cato Handbook for Policymakers,” 7th edition; “Korean Conundrum,” a book co-authored with Ted Galen Carpenter in 2004; “Tripwire: Korea and U.S. Foreign Policy in a Changed World,” 1996; and “The Politics of Envy: Statism as Theology,” 1994.
The Cato Institute is a conservative think tank devoted to public policy and research. It is dedicated to individual liberty, limited government, free markets and peace.
