Campbell University marked Homecoming 2013 with a full slate of events Oct. 21-27 that featured familiar traditions and inaugurated a new one.
Among the activities throughout the week that brought thousands of students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends together to celebrate Campbell and renew friendships were old standbys such as a bonfire, the Alumni Distinguished Dinner, camel rides, a parade, class reunions, tailgates, and multiple athletics events.
Saturday also featured a new tradition when Campbell held its first Ring Ceremony in an overflowing Butler Chapel, where President Jerry Wallace presented dozens of students with their official class rings.
