Baccalaureate, senior banquet scheduled for April 25

BUIES CREEK - Campbell University’s annual Baccalaureate Service and Senior Awards Banquet will be held April 25, in advance to the Spring Commencement, scheduled for May 12.

The banquet will begin at 5 p.m. at the John W. Pope Jr. Convocation Center, and the Baccalaureate will follow at 7:30 p.m. in Butler Chapel.

This year’s speaker will be Dr. Dennis Bazemore, Campbell University Vice President of Student Life. A 1977 graduate of Campbell, Bazemore spent 14 years as a pastor at First Baptist Church of Wallace before coming back to Buies Creek. He has been a trustee, a member of the Board of Ministers and the Alumni Board and has served Campbell University in countless other ways.

He has received several honors, including the Centennial Distinguished Alumnus Award, the Alumni Service Award and the Presidential Medallion. His wife, Linda Bazemore, is also a Distinguished Alum.

Seniors planning to attend the awards dinner must RSVP by Friday and can do so online at https://cuweb.wufoo.com/forms/senior-faculty-awards-banquet/. Guest tickets are $5 each.

Following the evening’s Baccalaureate Service, representatives from Barnes & Noble Bookstore at Campbell will be on hand to pass out pre-ordered graduation caps and gowns.
