The students from Campbell University's Mass Communication Capstone class worked with the ad club to secure a first place win in the National Club Achievement Competition for the American Advertising Federation.
The campaign was for Wake Enterprise, a non-profit organization that serves people with disabilities with employment opportunities.
The students worked with the ad club to suggest a campaign and the ad club recruited talent from the community to produce the TV spots, shoot the print ads and developed other aspects of the Public Service Announcement.
"We are so thrilled by this recognition and we know that we could not have done it without the help of the students," said Aubrey Eckerson, member of the ad club.
